How do children around the world celebrate Children's Day?

Children in Korea celebrate May 5th as “Children's Day”. It is a time to celebrate the joys of childhood with a variety of activities and events for children. However, children around the world celebrate children’s day on different days and different ways.

Mexico

In Mexico, on April 30th, Children's Day is celebrated as El Dia del Nino. Schools and parks organize a variety of special events for Mexican children. School classes are replaced by large parties with food, games and fun rides. Children play traditional games such as tailing a donkey.

Thailand

Thailand celebrates Children's Day every year on the second Saturday of January. Children are considered the country's most valuable resource and this annual event serves to stimulate children to recognize their importance and responsibility. Thai children have free admission to buses, parks, zoos, government offices, army, navy and air bases. Children also receive permission from the Royal Thai Air Force to navigate the aircraft.

Turkey

Children's Day is celebrated every year in Turkey on April 23rd. Children participate in large-scale events so that they can fully enjoy traditional culture. The most important event is a visit to the mausoleum of the first president, Kemal Pasha, who instituted Children's Day.

Each one celebrates Children's Day in a similar and different ways. I believe that the heart and love for children are the same everywhere in the world. Therefore, on this Children's Day, I hope that children from all over the world can remember their value in society while enjoying various festivals just for them.
