Which language is the happiest?

Do you understand any of the languages that a recent study determined to be the "happiest" ones?

The Dr. Peter Dodds-led team at the University of Vermont decided to use evidence-based methods to pinpoint the most uplifted mouths in the world. Spanish is the language that makes people the happiest, according to the study. But let's investigate...

Using online sources like Google Books, Twitter, subtitles from movies and TV programs, song lyrics, and news articles from the New York Times and the Daily Mail, the researchers created a database of billions of words.

Spanish, Chinese, English, French, Portuguese, Arabic, Indonesian, Korean, Russian, and German were among the languages used in the research. The 10,000 most frequent terms in each language were compiled using the database. Following that, according to its meaning, each term was classified as "positive" or "negative." For instance, the words "death" or "kill" are deemed negative, while the words "happiness" or "smile" are deemed positive.

Happiest languages are:

1.    Spanish 2. Portuguese 3. English 4. Indonesian 5. French 6. German 7. Arabic 8. Russian 9. Korean 10. Chinese

It was discovered that all ten of the languages were inherently positive and that more words tended to land on the bright side of the center than the dark one.
